Dr. Nava received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Old Dominion University in 2014. She is an alumna of Kennesaw State University, as well. Her research interests focus on inequality and injustice, the intersection of social control and social justice, wrongful conviction, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She has published articles in Journal of Criminal Justice Education, A Critical Journal of Crime, Law, and Society, and International Criminal Law Review.
